One of the most iconic and influential albums of all time, Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side Of The Moon celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2023. It was recorded in two sessions in 1972 and 1973 at EMI Studios (now Abbey Road studios) in London. It is the eighth studio album by Pink Floyd and was originally released in March 1973. The iconic album packaging, which depicts a prism spectrum, was designed by Hipgnosis’ Storm Thorgerson.
The new deluxe box set includes CD and gatefold vinyl of the studio album remastered by James Guthrie, a Blu-Ray + DVD audio featuring the original 5.1 mix and remastered stereo versions as well as a Blu-ray disc of Atmos mix. It also contains a CD and LP of ‘The Dark Side of The Moon – Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974’ and 2 7-inch singles. To top it off it includes a 160-page hardcover book with rare black and white photographs from the 1973 – 1974 tours of the UK and the USA and a 76-page music book with the complete songbook of the original album.
