Marvin Gaye’s sixth studio album was originally titled In the Groove when it was released in 1968. After the third single rocketed to the top of the Hot 100, spending seven weeks at No. 1, Motown quickly re-released the album as I Heard It Through the Grapvine. The album peaked at No. 2 on the R&B Album chart and also featured the Top 10 R&B hits, “You” and “Chained.” Limited Edition Purple LP on 180-gram vinyl with original artwork included on the cover and inner sleeve.
